Chuck Jones

Just some pictures I picked up (from this site) back in February when I learned that Looney-Tunes animator Chuck Jones had died.

It was like losing a favourite uncle from ones childhood who would always make you laugh when he came round to your house...

...although I didn't actually have an uncle like that.

The passing of stars of stage or screen, though sad enough, does not usually move me, yet his death, like that of Jim Henson, years ago, affected me more personally...

...perhaps because it's as if his creations, who I love as though they were people, will all, in a way, die with him.

His cartoons seldom failed to make me laugh, as a boy, and they still raise a smile today.
